Over 150 new homes for private rental to be delivered across the Midlands following new partnership between Countryside and Start Living.
A new partnership between Countryside, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, and Start Living Residential, a new single-family build-to-rent joint venture between Gatehouse Bank and TPG Real Estate Partners (TPGREP), will see over 150 new high-quality rental homes delivered across the Midlands.
Countryside has teamed up with Start Living, which has forward purchased the private rented sector homes at its Millfields development on Hall Green Road in West Bromwich, as well as its Woodsett Meadow development on Bourne Street in Coseley. The deal will mean much-needed high-quality, thoughtfully designed properties will be available to rent in both locations.
Millfields will consist of 220 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, 81 of which will be owned and managed by Start Living and available for private rent, whilst Woodsett Meadow is a purely private rental development, with all 72 properties being built for Start Living to own and manage. Countryside has already started work at Millfields, with work beginning on site at Woodsett Meadow this month.
Adam Daniels, Managing Director, West Midlands, Countryside said: “Strong partnerships such as this enable us to deliver a mixed-tenure offer that matches the needs of the local community, both regenerating areas and creating communities that people can be proud of.
“We are delighted to be working with Start Living on our Millfields and Woodsett Meadow developments, unlocking these brownfield sites and delivering the houses that people need, in the places that need them most.”
Paul Stockwell, Chief Commercial Officer at Gatehouse Bank, added: “Countryside has a well-deserved reputation for delivering homes that truly reflect the needs of 21st century living. We are pleased to be able to work with Countryside in locations such as Millfields and Woodsett Meadow and look forward to collaborating with the team on many future developments.”
